Looking forward to Tom's visit!

I just got a call from a good friend of my dad’s back in Madison. Tom is a remodeling contractor, and I worked for him during a few summers in high school. My dad works for him now in retirement, which is cool because he also used to work for Tom before he began his “real” career, I think about 25 years ago. Tom’s a real craftsman, and I bet he’d give Tom Silva, of This Old House fame, a run for his money.

Tom and his family are headed out to Seattle this weekend for a wedding, and they’re going to stop by to check out our little project. Maybe I’ll even get a little free advice! He’s lucky he’s got that wedding to attend, otherwise I might just hand him a tool belt.
