Nook progress

I haven’t made any progress towards varnishing the baking center cabinets, unless you count cleaning the kitchen. But Nick’s been working on the breakfast nook. He had me sit down to see if I liked the angle of the bench & it seemed perfect. I’ll take some pictures as soon as he lets me back in the kitchen. (I’m not supposed to peak at the progress.) We took inspiration for our nook from our old nook (we’ve kept the same windows, just installed new glass) and other inspiration from an article written by Sarah Susanka. The nook is on the south side of the house, so it will get great morning light. I imagine some day sitting in the nook, reading the paper and drinking a nice cup of coffee. I bet we’ll be there by this summer. Atticus wants to play- so I’m off to explore some toys with him!
