Tuesday's Tasks- 3400 screws for the joist track.

I went and picked up the 3400 screws that Nick and Phil will use to install the joist track for the radiant floor on the second floor. It took awhile finding where to get 3400 screws and I ended up at Tacoma Screw down in Georgetown. It’s a great place and the staff was very helpful. Nick and his dad will also install the first of the three manifolds. I’ll be the assistant- handing up the joist tracks that they’re installing and swapping out charged batteries. If there’s a lull, I’ll be using the heat gun to strip the windows that will be replaced in the nook.

The contractors from ART (Advanced Radiant Technology) are installing the water tank- it’s a horizontal tank and looks pretty cool. They’ll be on the project cam until they finish up their part of the project.

I guess when you’re buying that many, you want to buy in bulk. That would cost a bundle at Home Depot. Isn’t Tacoma the scary part of town?

Hey Derek- They have stores in Seattle and Tacoma, so luckily I didn’t have to drive down to Tacoma which is about 30 miles away. The screws still ended up costing about $60. It adds up fast!
