Weekly Poll - May 15th, 2005
Last week’s question asked “How old were you when you first learned some basic carpentry skills?” We found that a majority of us (38%) learned to swing a hammer at a very young age, before we were 6 years old. Another group (42%) learned to pound nails between the ages of 6 and 15. The remaining 20% learned to drive before they could cut it as carpenters… (pun intended)
The paper this morning presents a statistic that says you get more house for your money with new construction. I don’t buy it, and I’d only ever buy an older home (unless, perhaps, I could build my own home, out in the woods somewhere….)
This week’s poll asks “When was your home built?”
