Weekly Poll - June 5th, 2005

We sure spend a lot of time working on our houses! Nearly a quarter of us spend between 16 and 20 hours a week doing everything from hard-core demolition to fixing up the yard. A few people are working full time, spending 40 or more hours per week. Do these people have jobs?

Trissa and I are in the 16 – 20 hour per week category, at least we have been lately. Most of that time is spent on weekends, and the last three weekends have been spent demolishing our first floor and carting it out to the dumpster. We’re so close to being done with the demolition phase that we can taste it; and as soon as I finish writing this I’m going to get out of bed and tear out the last bit of plaster. Then hopefully I can get a bit of framing done today.

Back to the topic at hand: This week’s poll question. Grex wants to know what we all do for a living. Since this is a multiple choice poll, I’m making the categories pretty broad. Do your best to fit yourself into a choice. Leave a comment with your specific occupation!

That will be neat to find out. I am an Administrative Manager (detail fiend/savant) at a high-end wallcovering manufacturer. Check out www.mayaromanoff.com to see what we do.

I got the job last August after my company relocated my dept. to St. Louis. I could have moved, but as you know, I am kind of invested here. I used to work for Reuters and administration there also.
